OXFORD 600D PU*2 waterproof polyester fabric (134-2) light grey
Oxford fabric is a waterproof polyester fabric double coated with PU. which is suitable for outdoor as well as indoor use. The material is primarily intended for manufacturers of furniture and garden accessories, bags, tents and accessories for animals, cars, fishing, hunting, and prams. However, Oxford will also work well on a smaller scale for creating individual canopies, pillowcases or curtains for the garden.
Properties of the Oxford 600D fabric
Oxford is made with a 600 x 600D basket weave. It is characterised by its durability, resistance to abrasion and windproofness. The polyester fibres are double-coated with PU (polyurethane), which provides the fabric with water resistance while not affecting the appearance of the fabric. This makes the fabric ideal for use in the home and outdoors.
The polyester fabric is characterised by good durability, and if properly cared for will last for years. It can be washed at low temperatures and will not lose its properties. However, it is best to clean it with a cloth and a light detergent.
Oxford will be an excellent material for printed accessories. You can use different printing methods on it, both cold and hot:

- direct printing
- digital printing
- screen printing
It is suitable for thread and ultrasonic quilting.
Oxford fabric sewing
For smaller accessories (dog snack sachets) sewing thread will suffice. For larger items , it is definitely better to rely on calendering thread, which can withstand any load.

Does not contain elements harmful to health or heavy metals.

Use of Oxford 600D polyester fabric
Oxford 600D is used for: - sewing home accessories and garden accessories such as pillowcases and seats; - backpacks, schoolbags and bags as a base fabric - will perform particularly well in lighter backpacks and bags. that may be exposed to water e.g. as a base material; - for making outdoor and indoor curtains; for sewing pet beds and pet carriers - they will be scratch-resistant and any dirt will be easy to remove; for beach tents, which will protect not only from water but also from wind; - production of tents - garden tents (in order to make the tent look "lighter", the material can be combined with transparent PVC foil); - sewing awnings and garden canopies - it can be interesting to combine several colours of Oxford; - creating various types of covers:
car, fishing or hunting covers; - production of prams and special bags to be fixed on prams - cases for laptops and cameras as a base material, but also as a lining; - sewing kitchen aprons; - bibs that are easy to clean; - elbow and knee patches for workwear; - pet bedspreads to put on furniture; - production of quilted fabrics.
